Alford Day Centre

Where strangers are just friends you haven't yet met!

Each session at the Alford Day Centre is filled with friendship and laughter. There is always a good story to share, a funny joke or a tender arm for support.

Alford Day Centre is committed to help combatting lonliness.

Challenge

We understand that joining something new at any age is nerve wracking, but you don't need to worry. Here at the Alford Day Centre, you will be greeted by a team of friendly volunteers, who will introduce you to some of the regulars.

Refreshments are available on site and a warm meal can also be arranged for you at an additional cost, should you require one, provided by Cafe on the Cobbles.

Entertainment is planned, so you can be sure of something new and exciting each week alongside the firm favourites.

If you want to sit and chat, read a book or have a sing song, there are amble areas within the hall for you to do this.

The Alford War Memorial Hall has it's own car park, and so you don't need to worry about having to walk far. Local taxi firms can be arranged to take you and collect you at the end of the session for small fee.

If you would like to find out how the Alford Day Centre can enrich your life or the life of a family or family member, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Value

The Alford Day Centre is always looking for additional volunteers. If you could spare a few hours each week to help change someone's lives or if you able to help fundraise, please get in touch. We would love you to join us!
